crown left, value in fi eld behind, mintmark crown/ crown over bell on rev, legend surrounds CAROLVS
DG MA BR FR ET HI REX. Rev, oval shield garnished quartered shield of arms in frame, no CR either
side, reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO 5.95g (S.2791; N.2225; Sharp E2/1; Brooker 494). Lightly toned
on a full flan, some strong detail in the profile, legends clear with the exception of some weakness between 12-2
o’clock. Rev, good intricate details in the shield. About very fine, well struck.
