Rev, square topped quartered shield of arms under long cross fourchee, reads CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO 5.81g (S.2796; N.2229; Sharp F3/1; cf Brooker 517). Handsome grey amber cabinet tone with some iridescence around the mark of value, the fields clear from any surface markings or nicks. Impressive under closer inspection, flan a little ragged. Good very fine.
