William III (1694-1702), Shilling, 1700, small O's in date, fifth laureate and draped bust right, high hair, legend reads GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA. Crowned cruciform shields, six string Irish harp, Lion of Nassau at centre, date flanking top crown, reads MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX, (S.3516; Bull.1151; ESC.1121A). Pleasing cabinet tone, some adjustment marks on obverse in the portrait, some die breaks, few scatches. Portrait pleasing with depth and ridges in the hair. Rev, clean strike with the slightest wear on the three lions. Good very fine.
