SCANDINAVIA. Anglo-Danish. Bronze bow fibula. 9th-10th centuries AD. (5.2 cm). Having a widened body and tapered, rounded ends. Lovely linear decoration at termini; on one side, two appendages follow alongside the piece. Green patina, some roughness and earthen deposits. An exceptionally ornate fibula.
