SCANDINAVIA. Anglo-Danish. Lot of three (3) gilt bronze appliqué fragments. 9th-10th centuries AD. (The largest of the three (3) is 4 cm). Probably applied to wood or as highlights on metal. Significant amounts of gilding remain, mostly in the recessed areas of the obverses, green patina with traces of earthen deposits on the reverses. Website shipping rates do not apply.
