THRACE, Chersonesos. Circa 386-338 BC. AR Hemidrachm (12mm, 2.28 g). Forepart of lion right, head left / Quadripartite incuse square with alternating raised and sunken quarters; ΘE in one sunken quarter, bee in other. HGC 3, 1437; otherwise, unpublished in the standard references. Good VF. Very rare with these control marks, only one in CoinArchives (CNG E404, lot 36).
