6th-7th centuries AD. Æ 6 ounce circular commercial weight (50x12mm, 159.05 g). Lathe-finished circular weight with silver inlaid legend: + OΛYBPIOY + (eight-rayed star) C / Blank, but with traces of stippled design of cross set on tendrils. Cf. Bendall, Weights, 113-4 (for type); CPAI –; cf. Geneva 262 (same). Brown patina, some roughness and a few scratches, hard green encrustation on edge. VF. Good preservation of the inlay.
