CAR MARCHIO CORNWALLIS STRATEGUS ACERRIMUS, uniformed bust left / FAS SIT PARCERE HOSTI, Tipu Sultan standing right, presenting his two sons to Cornwallis, standing left, with attendants and canopy behind; soldiers and fort in background to left; in exergue, SULTANO TIPPOO DEVICTO/ OBSIDES RECIPIT/ MDCCXCIII. BHM 363; Eimer 845. Brown surfaces, wiped. Good VF.

Though this medal commemorates an event that occured in 1792, Eimer notes that a number were struck with an incorrect 1793 date.
