João V gold 400 Reis 1734/3-M AU55 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM145, LMB-255. A conditionally very challenging gold minor, and one almost universally found in poorer states of preservation, with just a single AU58 presently certifying finer across NGC and PCGS combined. Besting the RLM example by a full 2 points, the present specimen contains a notably full strike, rendering sharp details and high appeal and an a clear overdate. Accompanied by envelope that states "via Baldwin 1987".
