Philip IV Counterstamped 2 Reales ND (1662) Fine Details (Holed) NGC, KM-B1.1 (1663), Cal-838. Host: Lima Philip II 2 Reales ND (1577-1588) (star)-PD (cf. Cal-338). Counterstamp: Type II ornate crown (moclón) (VF Weak). A fairly scarce host from this historically fascinating period, redated by Alfonso Perez Longo to 1662. Compared to many surviving pieces, this specimen shows ideal centering on the host, and wear that keeps from obscuring the integral details.
