Republic gold 8 Escudos 1851 Go-PF AU Details (Obverse Damage) NGC, Guanajuato mint, KM383.7, Long-pg. 449. Delightfully honey toned, with sharp traces of luster to the reverse and a scrape on and to the left of the liberty cap establishing the grade designation. Only the third example of this mint-date we have ever offered, with just one other appearing in sales records in recent years. Notably, Long knew of only a single possible AU-level example.
