Philip V gold Cob Escudo 1727 L-M MS62 NGC, Lima mint, KM35, Cal-1687, Grunthal/Sellschopp-127n, Oro Macuquino-142 (this coin). 3.37gm. By all indications a highly challenging date for the issue, with only one other specimen having come to auction in recent years according to our research (Áureo & Calicó Auction 290, March 2017, Lot 195, from the same dies). Possibly a 1727/6 overdate, and certainly one of the fullest flans we have observed for the type.
