Charles III 8 Reales 1767 LM-JM MS61 NGC, Lima mint, KM-A64.2, cf. Elizondo-19 (two dot variety pictured), Grunthal/Sellschopp-Unl. Variety with one dot above Lima mintmark. Generally a rather available date and variety, though one that rapidly increases in scarcity when located in undeniably Mint State preservation, with just a single MS63 ranking finer at NGC. Indeed, aside from a few stray hairlines detectable only under close scrutiny, the surfaces appear almost satiny, and positively beam with luster. For the sake of completeness, we note some minor die clashing visible around the right globe.
