Caracas. Royalist and/or Republican Real (Macuquino) 781 VF Details (Damaged) NGC, Caracas mint, KM-C12, cf. Stohr-9A-C12 (this date not listed), OAV-1R-C.A.5. A much more challenging date from this imitative series than the larger 2 Reales, with our own sales records indicating that we have handled a mere 2 previously, and perhaps fewer than 5 others having emerged on auction in recent decades. Despite the damage to the obverse of this piece (likely a cancellation), the strike on the whole is quite nice for the issue.
