Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1662 undated, first laureate and draped bust right, rose below, rev. crowned shields cruciform, stop after HIB, ten strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, widely spaced, 29.94g, 6h (cf. Bull 339 but with stop after HIB; ESC 15; Spink 3350), small flan flaw above head and bruise to rim at 12 o'clock, scattered marks and die cudding in devices, otherwise an unusually bold portrait, a handsome very fine.
