Charles II (1660-1685), Crown, 1666 XVIII, second laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, six strings to harp, lettered edge upwards, 29.89g, 6h (Bull 366; ESC 32; Spink 3355), lightly cleaned and retoned with sporadic marks, a flaw before nose, otherwise a really bold fine / very fine, a solid example of this famous date, the year of the Great Fire of London.
