Victoria (1837-1901), Crown, 1847 XI, young head left, rev. crowned shield, incusely lettered edge, cinquefoil stops, 28.27g, 6h (Bull 2567; ESC 286; Spink 3882), heavier scuffing on cheek, and traces of wiping, otherwise residually lustrous and toned, a really bold very fine / extremely fine.
Bull 2568 gives - 'edge reads FT for ET (filled die?)'. In fact many letters in the collar became partly filled, not just the E, and so to pick out the E is capricious and it is not really worthy of a separate reference number. This coin is a good example, having several letterd partly filled.
Estimate: £300.00 - £500.00
