Charles II (1660-1685), Halfcrown, 1676 VICESIMO OCTAVO, fourth laureate and draped bust right, rev. crowned shields cruciform, four strings to harp, lettered edge, 14.99g, 6h (Bull 471; ESC 478; Spink 3367), some very light flecking, a very good coin with little wear and some lustre, 'clashing' resulting in considerable ghosting, noticeably under the legends on the reverse, and metal weakness on the AR of CAROLVS and corresponding area under GR of GRATIA all caused in the striking, otherwise a strong good very fine.
