William IV (1830-1837), Proof Halfcrown, 1831, bare head right, block WW, rev. crowned shield on mantle, plain edge, 13.59g, 6h (Bull 2473; ESC 657; Spink 3834A), rubbed on the high points, a mark on the king's face and a some other minor surface marks, uneven dark tone on the obverse with a few spots of rust coloured deposit, more even and attractive tone on the reverse, extremely fine, scarce.
