This handsome banknote was prepared and printed during the final years of the Qing Dynasty. This type has been deemed a remainder, as it was printed and ready, but the final touches, such as serial numbers, signatures, and a date were not applied. It appears that some were forced into circulation, legally or otherwise, hence why some are extant in circulated grades, including this one. A pleasing and pretty note, rare in any grade, and a relic from the final years of Imperial China. PMG mentions "Thinning; pinholes".
