Marcus Aurelius. AD 161-180. AR Denarius (18.5mm, 3.05 g, 5h). Rome mint. Struck AD 178. Laureate head right / Salus seated left, holding branch; at feet to left, a snake coiled and rising from the ground. RIC III 425 var. (bust type); MIR 18, 440-4/30; RSC 152b. Bright surfaces, slightly granular surfaces, a few shallow scratches, deposit on reverse, flan crack. Good VF. Rare.
