FRANCE, Royal. Charles VI le Bien-Aimé/le Fol (the Well-Beloved/the Mad). 1380-1422. AV Écu d'or à la couronne (27mm, 3.57 g, 7h). Dijon mint; mm: annulet under first letter. Struck under Philip III, Duke of Burgundy, 1417-1418. Crowned coat-of-arms / Cross fleurdelisée and feuillue; star in center; all within quadrilobe; lis at end of each arc, crown in spandrels. Duplessy 403A; Ciani –; Friedberg 291. Several marks and scuffs, a little wavy, struck on a tight flan. Good VF. Rare.
