George II (1726-1760), Two Guineas, 1738, first younger laureate head left, stop above head, narrow DEI, rev. crowned garnished shield with rounded arches, edge obliquely milled, weight unknown, 6h (Murdoch III, 43; Douglas-Morris 60/61; King - [cf. 172]; Schneider II, 570, dies 4/4; MCE 291; Spink 3667B), some die breaks, evidence of past wiping and a bruise to rim by GEORGIVS, otherwise very fine.
