Rx: [C L] CAESARES in exergue, AVGVSTI F COS DESIG PRINC IVVENT around, Gaius and Lucius Caesars standing facing, each togate and resting hand on shield; behind each shield, a spear; above, lituus on l., ladle on r. The scarcer "mirror-image" variant of this type, where the two priestly implements in field have switched places and the shield on right partially covers the shield on left rather than vice versa.This is an exceptional example of this very common type.
