KINGS of MACEDON. Alexander III. 336-323 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.75 gm; 29 mm). Macedonia mint, lifetime issue. Head of young Herakles right, wearing lion's skin / Zeus enthroned left, holding eagle and sceptre, grape bunch on vine in left field. Cf. Price 29; SNG Copenhagen 662. Lovely strike on a nice broad flan. Choice VF. Some original deposit. Rare.
