The first design in The Tudor's Beasts series, there are a total of ten Beasts representing the statues that stand in Hampton Court Palace. This David Lawrence reverse design was struck in a variety of base and precious metal compositions and denominations.
Fifth crowned portrait of Elizabeth II right, JC left, inscription: 'ELIZABETH II · D · G · REG · F · D · 200 POUNDS', Legend all around, designed by Jody Clark / An image of the Seymour Panther with flames coming from its mouth and ears. The beast wears a chained crown around its neck and holds a shield with a double wing device, which forms a part of Jane Seymour's arms as queen consort, inscription: · SEYMOUR PANTHER · 2022', legend above, date below, designed by David Lawrence. Edge milled.
Comes with the original box as issued by the Mint and the certificate of authenticity (COA). In secure plastic holder, graded NGC PF 70 ULTRA CAMEO, certification number 6318830-002.
