MACEDON (Roman Protectorate), Republican period. First Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. AR Tetradrachm (32mm, 16.57 g). Amphipolis mint. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis right, with bow and quiver over shoulder; all in the center of a Macedonian shield / Club right; monogram above, two monograms below; all within oak wreath; thunderbolt to left. Prokopov, Silver, Group II.A, 283–6 var. (O68/R– [unlisted rev. die]); HGC 3, 1103. Slight bend at edge, light porosity, minor marks, light scratch and small flan flaw on obverse. Good VF.
