LUCANIA, Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. AR Nomos (21mm, 7.72 g, 9h). Wreathed head of Demeter left; [XƎ]Δ below chin / Barley ear with leaf to left; lit altar above leaf, YΛ to right of stem. Johnston Class C, 10.4 = SNG ANS 503 (same dies); HN Italy 1593; SNG Gale 654 (same dies). Attractive iridescent tone, a few light scratches. Good VF.
