SICILY, Syracuse. Timoleon and the Third Democracy. 344-317 BC. AR Stater (21mm, 8.56 g, 12h). Corinthian standard. Struck under Timoleon, 344-339/8 BC. Pegasos flying left / Helmeted head of Athena right. Pegasi 1; HGC 2, 1400. Toned, with some blue iridescence, a little die wear on obverse, a few tiny flan flaws on reverse. Good VF.
