Probus. A.D. 276-282. BI antoninianus (21.5 mm, 3.46 g, 6 h). Antioch mint, struck A.D. 280-281. IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust of Probus right; seen from behind / CLEMENTIA T-EMP, Probus in military garb standing facing, head right, holding short transverse scepter and receiving Victory on globe from Jupiter, standing facing, head left, holding scepter; A in lower field // XXI. RIC V 922. Good VF, well struck, slightly off-center on generous flan, losing nothing, but crowding obverse legend; gunmetal gray patina with scant ochre deposits in fields and recesses of reverse.
