Iran German Military WWI 25 Kran on 10 Mark 6.10.1906 Pick M2 PMG Extremely Fine 40. Persia suffered a coin shortage during the World War I years, and overprinted German notes circulated for a brief period in 1916 and 1917. This denomination was to aid small transactions. This is rare type, as there are a plethora of lower-quality counterfeits that diminish the importance of the genuine examples. Only mild circulation is present on this example. These notes were redeemed in March of 1917 and destroyed subsequently.
