Japan Greater Japan Imperial National Bank, Osaka 1 Yen ND (1877) Pick 20 PMG Very Fine 25. A handsome and much above average example of this scarce 19th century issue. The center emblem on the front of the note indicates the bank of origin, as do the vertical notations on the back of the note. Interestingly, this specific note was issued from Osaka. A beautiful 19th-century type, seen here with fresh paper, terrific colors, and outstanding eye appeal for the technical grade.
