Australia Commonwealth Bank of Australia 5 Pounds ND (1949); (1952) Pick 27c R47; 27d R48 Two Examples PMG Choice About Unc 58; Choice Uncirculated 64. A gorgeous pair of 5 Pounds from both the 1949 and 1952 issues. These higher denomination King George VI portrait notes are surprisingly scarce in Uncirculated grades. Bold inks, good centering and bright paper highlight both examples. The signature combination of Coombs and Watt on Pick 27c was only used for a few years and the signature combination of Coombs and Wilson on Pick 27d was used on final variety for this design type.
