A complete set of 1953 Burmese banknotes is seen here, all of which are scarce in high grade. Notice the serial numbers; curiously, the 1 and 100 Rupees match, and the 5 and 10 Rupees match. All notes feature the first prefix as well. Hole punched and perforated cancellations, staple holes at issue and previous mounting are mentioned.
