Curacao S.E.L. Maduro and Sons 25 Centen 1893 Pick UNL PMG Choice Fine 15. A historic small change note, issued privately as there was a lack of coinage in Curacao at the time. S.E.L. Maduro & Sons now trades as Maduro Holdings, a Dutch Caribbean shipping conglomerate founded in 1837 by Salomon Elias Levy (hence S.E.L.). This note was printed by the Hamilton Banknote Company in New York and circulated in Curacao until most were worn out and redeemed. This example is well circulated but all details are present and clear.
