South Africa South Africa Treasury 1 Pound 24.3.1869 Pick 37 PMG Very Fine 20. An early Boer Republic issue bearing the signature of President Pretorius. Curiously, the verbiage seen on both sides of the crest at center, it explains that the note was issued against State property, 200 farms to be exact. This is the only graded example on the PMG Population Report, and the fist time that we have handled this rare variety.
