South Africa Green Point POW Camp 1 Shilling ND (1899-1902) Pick UNL POW4851a PMG Extremely Fine 40. This note was issued by Commander Money (no pun intended!) and hand dated November 10th, 1900. This type would have circulated in and around the Green Point Prisoner of War Camp in Cape Town. A rare financial relic from the Boer War and missing from many collections, as only a few are known extant. The last example we sold, realized just over $800 as a Choice Fine 15.
