South Vietnam National Bank of Viet Nam 1000 Dong ND (1955-56) Pick 4As Specimen PMG Choice Uncirculated 63. The Bank of France designed and printed this stunning Specimen featuring an Old Man, Temple, Young Woman, and Junk. The main design elements are quite pretty, and the lattice work and other subtle details perfectly compliment the primary themes. Regretfully, for whatever reason, this large sized, highest denomination note was never issued, and as such, only Specimens and Proofs are known to exist. Solid zero serial numbers, two black overprints, and a red Specimen number indicate this note was not intended for circulation. Minor stains are mentioned for accuracy. Nevertheless an excellent example, with good body and paper wave.
