Syria Banque de Syrie et du Liban 100 Livres 1.8.1942 Pick 48 PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Three Bon de Caisse notes were issued by the Bank of Syria and Lebanon in 1942. One was printed Lebanon, with the two higher denominations printed in Palestine. They more or less functioned as banknotes during the World War II era. Print totals were small and most were redeemed. We have not offered this highest denomination note in the past, and currently, this is the second finest graded of only four examples registered in the PMG Population Report. We have conservatively estimated this 100 Livres as it has not crossed the auction block in over five years. Rare and highly collectible.
