Karia, uncertain mint ('Mint E') AR Tetartemorion. Circa 380-340 BC. Milesian standard. Young male head to right / Head of bull to left; Ε behind. Cf. Konuk, Coin M48 (Diobol); cf. HN Online 1861 (hemiobol) = CNG E-251, lot 55. 0.18g, 6mm, 3h.

Near Very Fine. Extremely Rare; possibly an unpublished denomination.

From a private European collection.

This series is sometimes attributed to the Karian dynast Hekatomnos, based on the Greek E on the reverse, but this attribution is very unlikely (see the note after Konuk, Coin M49).
