Parthia(?), 'Eagle Series' AR Drachm. Hekatompylos(?), circa 246/5-239/8 BC. Local standard. Head of Athena to right, wearing earring, necklace, and crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves over visor and a spiral palmette on the bowl / Eagle standing to left, head to right; single grape bunch above. Roma XIV, 334 var. (grape cluster on vine); Bopearachchi, Sophytes Series 2A (this variety unlisted); SNG ANS -; cf. Mitchiner 26 (this variety unlisted); N&A 52-57 var. (same); HGC 12, 8. 3.36g, 14mm, 6h.

Good Very Fine. An apparently unpublished variant, this lot and the previous are seemingly the only known examples.
