Maurice Tiberius. 582-602. PB Seal (20mm, 9.95 g, 12h). Crowned, draped, and cuirassed bust facing / The Theotokos (Virgin Mary) standing facing, holding medallion of Infant Christ before her. Cf. BLS I 5; DOC 6, 9.8. VF, dusty gray patina.
On the Zacos seal cited above (BLS 5 = DOC 6, 9.1), the obverse legend is D N TIBER MA PP AVG. On DOC 6, 9.8, certainly from the same hand as the current seal, the legend has the name "Maurice" preceding "Tiberius".
