TROAS, Abydos. Circa 170s-150s BC. AR Tetradrachm (37.5mm, 15.58 g, 1h). In the name and types of Lysimachos of Thrace. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; cornucopia to outer left, monogram to inner left; in exergue, eagle standing right between ethnic, monogram to lower right. Unpublished in the standard references, but cf. Triton XIII, lot 1283 for similar issue. Lightly toned, flan crack, rough surfaces, minor double strike on reverse. VF. Very rare.
