EASTERN EUROPE, Imitations of Alexander III of Macedon. Late 3rd-2nd centuries BC. AR Tetradrachm (30mm, 16.80 g, 12h). Imitating Kalchedon mint issue. Head of Herakles, wearing lion skin / Zeus Äetophoros seated left; letters in left field, grain ear below throne. Lanz 102, lot 24 (same dies); otherwise, unpublished. For prototype, cf. Price 922–45 (Callatis). Attractively toned. Near EF. Exceptional imitative tetradrachm.
