Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ As (27mm, 10.15 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck circa AD 129-130. AVGVSTVS HADRIANVS, bareheaded and draped bust left / Fortuna seated left, holding rudder and cornucopia. RIC II.3 1353; Strack 844. Dark green-brown patina, minor roughness. Good VF. Extremely rare.

From the Cloudesley Collection.

A note in RIC: "Although Strack noticed the unusual obverse legend and linked the die with Str. 843, its image is absent from the Trau catalogue plates (and the obv. leg. error is unlisted)." There is none of this type recorded in CoinArchives.
