Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Sestertius (32mm, 26.96 g, 1h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – Restitutor type. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Laureate and draped bust right / RESTITVTORI AFRICAE, S C in exergue, Hadrian standing left, holding volumen and raising kneeling Africa, wearing elephant's skin headdress and holding grain ears; more grain grows between them. RIC II.3 1815; Banti 632. Brown patina, minor roughness, some smoothing. VF.
