Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ As (26mm, 14.14 g, 7h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – Restitutor type. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Bareheaded and draped bust right / RESTITVTORI AFRICAE, S C in exergue, Hadrian standing left, holding volumen and raising kneeling Africa, wearing elephant's skin headdress and holding grain ears; more grain grows between them. RIC II.3 1822. Dark green patina, some roughness, scratches. Fine.
