LYDIAN KINGDOM. Croesus (ca. 561-546 BC). AV third-stater or trite (11mm, 2.68 gm). NGC Choice XF 5/5 - 3/5. Sardes, "light" standard, ca. 550-546 BC. Confronted foreparts of lion right and bull left, both with outstretched foreleg / Two incuse square punches of unequal size, side by side, with irregular interior surfaces. Berk 9.6. SNG von Aulock 8212. Excellent strike and perfect centering on lustrous surfaces.
