Nero, as Augustus (AD 54-68). AE dupondius (30mm, 14.21 gm, 6h). NGC Choice AU 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style. Lugdunum, AD 66. IMP NERO CAESAR AVG P MAX TR•P P P, laureate head of Nero right, lightly bearded; globe at point of truncation / VICTORIA-AV-GVSTI, Victory advancing left, wreath in outstretched right hand, palm in left; S-C across fields. RIC I 522. Struck from superb style dies on ample flan with all details visible on both sides. Deep green patina with sandy highlights. A remarkable coin in hand.
