Vespasian (AD 69-79). AV aureus (19mm, 7.32 gm, 6h). NGC AU 5/5 - 4/5, Fine Style. Rome, AD 77-78. IMP CAESAR-VESPASIANVS AVG, laureate head of Vespasian right / COS VIII. Vespasian (on left) standing facing, head left, grounded spear in right hand, parazonium in left, being crowned by Victory (on right) standing facing, turned left, wreath in right hand, palm cradled in left. RIC II.1 935. Calicó 624. Well-struck on bright flan. Some attractive orange toning on obverse.
